Introduction

The Allerdale court Hotel is a family run 25 bedroomed hotel with Carlin's bar and bistro situated in Market Place, Cockermouth. We offer the best of the traditional and the modern, where your comfort and safety are our number 1 priority. If you have any specific requirements, please call us and we will do our utmost to assist.

Pre-Arrival

Every Room reservation will receive a confirmation, whether by e mail or letter, detailing all arrangements, parking, dining etc.
 
The nearest Railway Station is Workington – approx. 15 miles

Arrival and Car Parking

Check in is from midday until 10pm – Check out time is 11am. Arrangements can be made for special reasons.
 
We are situated in Market Place.
 
We do not have our own car park. Directly outside the Hotel is a Loading Bay where you may park to unload suitcases. This Bay may also be used free of charge from 6pm until 8am and all day on Sundays. There is a public car park directly opposite the hotel. No charges overnight.
 
Assistance is always available for luggage
 
Refrigeration space will always be available for any medication.
 
Reception opens at 7am-11pm midweek and 8am-10.30pm on Sundays.

Main Entrance

The listed building is dated from around 1730 and does not have a wide front door. The outer door into Market Place measures 35" and the inner door is 30" across.
 
Reception is in a flat wooden floor area.
 
We have 25 en suite bedrooms, all with telephone, tv, hospitality tray, iron and ironing board, toiletries and free wi-fi (Executive larger rooms have flat screen tv's , water and mints).

6 x Executive Double/Twin (3 on the Ground Floor) 
 
To reach the first of the bedrooms on 2 floors there are 12 stairs with a wide staircase. Unfortunately we do not have a lift.
 
The newly completed (Aug 2010) ground floor executive rooms have a ramped corridor and extra wide bedroom doors, with 2 steps up to the entrance to access them.

Grounds

We have no outside seating area at the moment, but intend to convert to one soon.
 
Dogs are welcome at £5 per night

Public Areas

Breakfast is served in carlin's bistro. 7am-9am Mon-Fri and 8am-10am Sat, Sun and Bank Holidays. There are 2 steps up to the bistro.
 
Dinner is served from 6pm 7 nights a week. Advance table reservations are strongly recommended, especially at weekends.
 
The bar is open daily until 11pm.
 
Teas and Coffees available throughout the day.
